GCSAE Meeting Explores the Selection of Appropriate Facilities
Cleveland, Ohio, January 27, 2009 - For many associations, the choice of an appropriate facility ranks as one of the most complicated and difficult choices to manage. On January 27 at the North Eastern Ohio Education Association (NEOEA) Conference Center in Garfield Heights, itself a brand new facility, four panelists from the local association community discussed their processes and insights for locating, designing, equipping, and preparing an association headquarters. Bill Gaskin of Precision Metalforming Association, Larry Ferrini of Positively Cleveland and the Greater Cleveland Partnership, Mark Laskey of Construction Employers Association and Bill Lavezzi of NEOEA, all of which have either gone through a recent move or major remodeling, shared their experiences with 23 association leaders from the Cleveland area at the monthly Greater Cleveland Society of Association Executives (GCSAE) meeting.
The program was followed by a question and answer session and exchange by members in attendance of their experiences, practices and ideas.
