Best Practices Program Ranks Among Most Popular GCSAE Programs
Cleveland, Ohio, May 20, 2009 - As association executives, we all know one of the primary selling points to potential and current members is the ability to share information, ideas and strategies with individuals and organizations that are similar to us and do business in a comparable manner. So it’s no surprise that the Greater Cleveland Society of Association Executives (GCSAE) sponsored a “Best Practices 2009” program in May at the Doubletree Hotel Cleveland Downtown featuring four local association professionals providing overviews in four areas of association management, followed by discussion and further information exchange among the 13 participants. Topics and speakers included “Ten Good Ideas in Ten Minutes,” by John Zajc of the Society for American Baseball Research, “Webinars” by Jim Heib of the Marble Institute of America, “Awards Programs” by Dave Sansone of Precision Metalforming Association and “The Value of Interns” by Ann Womer Benjamin of Northeast Ohio Council on Higher Education.
Each 10-minute presentation was followed by five to ten minutes of discussion and interaction.
