GCSAE Members Get Briefing on Adult Learning

Cleveland, Ohio, November 10, 2009 - Industry expert Tony Ellis, CAE, provided an outstanding overview of professional development tips for both association executives and GCSAE Industry Partners.  GCSAE Vice President Lynn Mangol, CMP (International Society of Explosives Engineers) noted that, "the advice Tony provided was first-rate.  He showcased how association members can better serve their members, as well as how to work with an hotel event partner to maximize the learning experience."

The premise of this session was the following: Not many association professionals have the luxury of specializing in just one area of association management. So how do you provide effective learning experiences and programming when you're not a PD specialist? Mr. Ellis provided all attendees with a professional development essentials cheat sheet and checklist AND a collection of Best Practices in PD collected from ASAE & The Center's PD discussion list.

The approximately 25 people in attendence left with resources and ideas for immediate implementation.
