Best Practices of Association Management
A Roundtable Discussion

Cleveland, Ohio, November 19, 2009 - The annual “Best Practices” program has been one of the most popular and well-received programs of the GCSAE meeting year for the past several years.  It’s an event designed so that we can learn from our peers by discussing common issues and problems and how some associations have successfully . . . or at least semi-successfully . . . addressed them.  This year we’ll have a roundtable format where you’ll have the opportunity to participate in 1 of the 5 roundtable discussions on different topics.  And, since you can’t be in five places at once, it’s the perfect time to bring multiple staff members to the program.

The five roundtable topics will be 1) Social Networking; 2) Membership Recruitment and Retention; 3) Producing and Marketing Printed and Virtual Publications; 4) Website Development and Maintenance; and 5) CEO (discussing such things as strategic planning, budgeting, human resources, working with Boards, etc.).  This is a great opportunity to learn from each other, so come to this meeting with both questions and answers for sharing.

GCSAE Industry Partner members will be invited to have tables with information available during the registration time before the meeting and immediately after the meeting.  It will be your opportunity to learn how they can help your association and how you can support our partners.
